Our team uses behavioral and eye-tracking methods to understand:

  • How children and adults process and interpret meaning of gestures and actions

  • How gesture and action have similar and distinct impacts on how we think and learn

  • How individual differences and context impact whether children learn from gesture

  • What mechanisms underlie the cognitive effects of gesture and action
