Center for Research in Child Development
Loyola University Chicago
At the Loyola Center for Research on Child Development, we ask questions about attention, memory, and how children learn through actively engaging with their environment.
We use safe and innovative technology to measure looking behavior and brain activity. Infant and child participants are presented with pictures, video clips, or games. This allows us to understand how your child is learning from and attending to the world around them.
Dr. Elizabeth Wakefield and Dr. Maggie Guy are co-directors of the CRCD and independently direct the Cognitive Development Lab (Guy) and Movement & Learning Lab (Wakefield). To learn more about their current research projects and research teams, follow the links in the menu above!
